So we’re going to raise funds AND get in shape at the same time. So who’s in?

So far this has been SO much fun – and we are only 3 weeks into our training. So far, I’m learning a lot about stretching, running, different training methods, and I feel SO good. I’m using baby powder on my feet before runs to prevent blisters (it’s working!) and today going to buy new shoes. And my wife is catching up to me on speed, so that’s another motivating factor!!

Can’t wait to document the journey of running and eating!

PS – party at our place after the race.

Follow my epic adventure to turn my flabby, out-of-shape body into a updated version of my once athletic self.

When my cousin Antranig came to me and said he was going to run a half-marathon, I though, “Wow, what a great idea! I can do that.” Sure, I’m 33 years old, 80 pounds heavier than I ought to be and I haven’t run more than 2 miles since being in the Marine Corps 9 years ago, but how hard could it be? Oh, and I have a whole 2 1/2 months for training… no problem!

So I begin my epic adventure to turn my flabby, out-of-shape body into a updated (grant it older) version of my once athletic self. I’ll be posting weekly recaps of my training (along with videos as often as I can) including distance, weight and goals.

I got this!
